Minutes of a Council meeting held at the Centre, Bodorgan on Tuesday, 17 July 2018.
1 Present:
Councillor Mr Dafydd Jones (Chairman), Councillors Mr Tim Owen, Mr Alwyn Rowlands, Mr Myfyr Davies, Mr Gareth Evans, Mr Jeff Hughes, Mr Andrew Hughes, Mr Gwilym Looms, Mr Selwyn Williams & Mr Alun Foulkes (Clerk).
County Councillors: Mr Bryan Owen & Mr Peter Rogers.
2 All members were welcomed to the meeting by the Chairman.
3 Declare Interest.
3.1 No interest was shown by the members on any item.
4 Correction & Acceptance of the Minutes of the Mountainous Meeting - 15 May 2018.
4.1 (Record 15.1) - it was requested to delete 'two weeks' from the record and that 'Geralt Lloyd Jones' and not 'Geraint Evans' was the name of the former Chief Executive of Menter Môn.
4.2 After correction, the minutes were accepted and signed (AH/SW).
5 Matters Arising from the Minutes.
5.1 Caravan, Malltraeth - matter of the Planning Department sending an enforcement letter to the owner of the Caravan in Haw.
5.2 Carreg Ceiliog Bach - need to remind the Highways Department to organize a visit to the site in order to try to recommend any solution.
5.3 Welsh Audit Office meeting - need to follow up. The Clerk to contact the Office.
5.4 Mandate of the Bank - report that this has been resolved.
5.5 Notice Boards - the Clerk said that BOTH new notice boards need to be installed near Trefdaeth Cemetery and near the bus stop, Bethel.
5.6 Groeslon Back Lane Hermon to Aberffraw - County Councillor Bryan Owen said he will follow up with the Highways Department and the Bodorgan Estate.
5.7 Election of Vice-Chairman of the Council (2018-2019) - Councillor Alwyn Rowlands said he was happy to accept the offer and he was elected Vice-Chairman unanimously.
6 FINANCIAL MATTERS.
6.1 Payments & Receipts May & June 2018 - accepted and the list and reconciliation were signed unanimously.
6.2 It was requested that the responsibility for the upkeep of Bethel Church Cemetery needs to be re-examined following complaints that were not of an acceptable standard. Following discussion, it was decided that any recommendation would be in the hands of the Council's Finance Sub-Committee and report back to the next full meeting.
6.3 The Clerk said that no one had paid the Cemetery Water Bill and because of the threat from Dwr Cymru - he had temporarily arranged to pay personally.
6.4 The Clerk was asked to organize an Inspection of the Playground as soon as possible.
7 NEW PLANNING APPLICATIONS.
7.1 Screening Opinion Request for the reconstruction of a 33kV above ground line
on land between:

8 DECISIONS OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT.
8.1 Full Alteration & Extension Application - Ty Moel, Bodorgan - 15C226 - PERMISSION
8.2 Full Modification & Extension Application - Tan Lan, Bethel, Bodorgan - 15C97E - PERMISSION.
8.3 Retrospective application to keep unlit Sign - Pare Glas Surgery, Bethel, Bodorgan - 15C227/AD - ALLOWED.
9 CLOSING REPORT OF THE COMMUNITY SCHOOL & THE FUTURE OF THE CENTRE
9.1 Councillor Andrew Hughes gave a short report explanation to the members regarding the situation and the development that the School is now closed due to numbers. He emphasized that there was no mention in meetings about closing it sooner
9.2 Councillor Dafydd Jones said that he had received a valuation report (£97,000) subject to a structural survey with no further defects and that moving forward with any plan was essential. He said he was also examining the financing of the plan with the Asset Transfer Fund which is in the hands of the Assembly.
10 EMPTY SEATS.
10.1 The Clerk had made the usual arrangements with the County Council's Constituency Office and that a report will be back at the next meeting.
11 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING - THIRD September 2018.
11.1 The Chairman apologized to the members for attending the meeting and the meeting closed at 8:20 o'clock.
